Nikki Allen Selected as Assistant Principal of Ponoka Secondary Campus
Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) is pleased to announce the selection of Nikki Allen as the new Assistant Principal of Ponoka Secondary Campus.
Allen brings a robust academic background and a wealth of experience to her new role. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Lethbridge, as well as a Master of Education from Wilkes University, focusing on the Art and Science of Teaching.
"Nikki embodies the leadership qualities that we value at Wolf Creek Public Schools," said Sonja Dykslag, Assistant Superintendent of People Services. "Her commitment to education and her deep connection to the Ponoka community will be invaluable as she leads Ponoka Secondary Campus. We are excited to see her innovative approaches and leadership enrich the school community."
Allen is a passionate educator who has served WCPS in multiple capacities: classroom teacher, literacy specialist, inclusion facilitator. Most recently, Allen has been the Acting Assistant Principal at Bentley School. Prior to this, she has taught grades 4 to 12 at various Wolf Creek Schools, including Mecca Glen School, Rimbey Jr. Sr. High School, Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus, and Bentley School.
Allen, a resident of Ponoka and a graduate of Ponoka Composite High School, is excited to serve the students of her community.
"I am thrilled to join the administrative team at Ponoka Secondary Campus," said Allen. "Ponoka is my home, and I am excited to bring my passion for education and leadership to serve our students, staff, and the broader community."
Allen will assume the role of Assistant Principal at the commencement of the 2024/25 school year this Fall.
