BULLY AWARENESS AND PREVENTION WEEK
Across Wolf Creek Public Schools, the third week of November is recognized as Bully Awareness and Prevention week. The goal is to increase awareness around the importance of preventing bullying and promoting healthy relationships. Bullying can affect anyone, whether it be in schools, workplaces, communities and online. Bullying creates fear and threatens the safety and well-being of individuals, families and society as a whole. When bullying happens, everyone suffers. To decrease or eliminate bullying behaviours, we need to work together to create a society built on healthy and respectful relationships.
ORANGE SHIRT DAY
Each year, Wolf Creek Public Schools recognizes and participates in Orange Shirt day to honor those who attended residential schools and experienced various forms of bullying and racism. This is an opportunity for schools to talk about anti-racism and anti-bullying with students across the district.
