Lana Thompson

Lana Thompson is a proud wife and mother of two, and who has made Ponoka her home for 28 years. Seeing her daughter off to school for the first time in 2021, Thompson is looking forward to becoming more involved in the school division. She is serving her first term as Trustee, and is about bringing a fresh perspective, while gathering insight and information from school staff, students and families.

Thompson commits to providing important oversight while ensuring parents' voices are heard and students' goals are reached. Her aim is for the overall success and wellness of all students in Wolf Creek Public Schools. In her trusteeship, she looks to be an advocate for Alberta's children, making changes that benefit students and schools, while lobbying all orders of government to ensure local voices are fully heard.
