Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) is pleased to announce the appointment of Wendy Fessler as Acting Assistant Principal at Ponoka Secondary Campus (PSC). Wendy Fessler currently serves as Teacher and Department Head of Academic and Career Counsellor/Off-Campus Coordinator at PSC. She brings a wealth of expertise to her new position, with a Master of Education from the University of Calgary, focusing on Mental Health and Trauma, and participation in the WCPS Aspiring Leadership program.

“Wendy’s extensive experience and dedication to student success make her an excellent fit for this role,” said Sonja Dykslag, Assistant Superintendent of People Services. “We are thrilled to welcome her to the admin association and know she will make a positive impact at Ponoka Secondary Campus.”

Throughout her career, Fessler has demonstrated a deep commitment to professional growth. Her achievements include active membership in the ATA Specialist Councils of Science and School Counsellors and completing extensive training in trauma-informed interventions, mental health strategies, and practices that promote diversity and inclusion. Fessler remains focused on refining her skills in inclusion education, crisis intervention, and student success strategies.

“I am excited to take on this leadership role at PSC and continue to support the incredible students, staff, and families in our school community,” said Fessler. “I look forward to building our team and continuing to prioritize student well-being and academic success.”
