Jennifer Douglas and Adam Troitsky appointed assistant principals at Ponoka Secondary Campus
Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) is pleased to announce that Jennifer Douglas and Adam Troitsky have been appointed as assistant principals at Ponoka Secondary Campus (PSC).
“We are excited about Jennifer and Adam continuing to be a part of the leadership team at Ponoka Secondary Campus,” said Sonja Dykslag, assistant superintendent of People Services. “We know the students and the school community will continue to be well-served by their experience and expertise.”
Douglas has been an educator since 2003 and prior to her role as acting assistant principal at PSC this past year, she served as an assistant principal for Maskwacîs Education Schools Commission (MESC) in Maskwacis from 2017 to 2022. Before moving to Alberta, Douglas also worked as a teacher/counselor in Winnipeg.
“I look forward to continuing my education journey with Wolf Creek, and I see great potential in our admin team,” said Douglas. “I have enjoyed getting to know the staff and students at PSC, and I look forward to our continued growth as a school community.”
Douglas has a Bachelor of Physical Education degree and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Manitoba as well as a Baccalaureate Diploma in Education, also from the University of Manitoba.
Prior to Troitsky’s role as acting assistant principal at PSC this past year, he served as a teacher and athletic director at Mecca Glen School since 2009.
It is an honour to be able to continue serving the Ponoka Secondary Campus community,” said Troitsky. “I am thrilled to be able to work with the amazing staff, students, families, and community members in the Ponoka area.
Troitsky holds a Bachelor of Education as well as a Master of Science from Wilkes University.
