Jill Chambers appointed Assistant Principal at Terrace Ridge School

Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) is excited to announce the appointment of Jill Chambers as the new Assistant Principal of Terrace Ridge School in Lacombe.

Chambers, bringing 14 years of invaluable experience in the education sector, transitions to Terrace Ridge School after her impactful tenure at Iron Ridge Elementary School in Blackfalds. With a teaching career spanning grades K to 6, Chambers has exemplified a dedication to fostering early literacy and inclusion among students. Her participation in the Aspiring Leaders program underscores her commitment to educational leadership and her readiness to take on this new role.

"Jill is an exceptional educator whose expertise in early literacy and passion for inclusive education is a tremendous asset," said Sonja Dykslag, Assistant Superintendent of People Services. 

"Her proven leadership abilities and innovative approaches to learning will greatly benefit our students, staff, and the wider school community. We are thrilled to welcome her to her new position."

Chambers looks forward to the opportunity in Lacombe.

Chambers' appointment comes as Marica McWhinnie announced her retirement, effective April 1, 2024.
